Ragley Hall, in the heart of Warwickshire, will be hosting The Game Fair this year, from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th July 2021, we are so looking forward to catching up with gardeners and growers again, its going to be fantastic!! There is still time to get your tickets and come along to see us.

Keder Greenhouse are joining with Pershore College, part of WCG (Warwickshire Colleges Group), in their feature garden area where they are covering 4 key topics:

  • Production Garden
  • Eco-Garden
    • Demonstrating re-wilding techniques
    • New pests and disease
  • Smart Garden
  • Climate Chage Garden
    • Planting to cope with dry/wet climate
    • Water storage and sustainable drainage

Each of these area has been specifically designed and created to reflect key issues withing gardenng and growing in todays modern environment. The staff and students at Pershore College are working very closley with their partners to create each of these areas.

The show garden is one of the main attractions at the three-day festival of the countryside. Attracting over 120,000 visitors, WCG has been tasked with coming up with a design utilising the skills of the college, its students and those if its partners.

Mike Roberts, garden design and horticulture lecturer at WCG, said: “Throughout my 26 years at the college, I have been involved in lots of show gardens, which has included winning the whole range of medals at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, but this is by far the largest that we have ever undertaken. One of the challenges with show gardens is always resourcing them, and with the size and theme of this garden, we are looking for quite a lot of help from suppliers in providing or loaning plants and materials and also volunteers to support us during the month-long build.”

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase what we can do as a college and by supporting us, will provide the chance for firms to showcase their plants, products and new technology to a huge audience. With The Game Fair being reschduled due to the Coronavirus outbreak, it also means new students enrolling on our horticulture and landscaping courses will be able to experience creating a show garden as part of their induction." Mike added.

In the centre of the feature garden is an information hub where all partners involved will be represented and visityors can fgind out more about their diverse range of products and services.
